Newcastle United are preparing to return to action, as they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
The international break is finally over, and it was actually a rather successful one for Newcastle United players. Plenty of Toon stars got valuable minutes and built up their confidence, as they prepare to turn their attention back to the Premier League.
Newcastle United are off to Molineux this weekend, which is a ground that they have not won at in the Premier League since 2011.
Eddie Howe will be eager to end their terrible run in the West Midlands, and will be boosted by the return of Fabian Schar.
The 32-year-old has missed Newcastle’s last three games due to suspension, but is now available for selection once again.
No sign of Emil Krafth in Newcastle United training ahead of Wolves
During his absence, Emil Krafth has started at centre-back alongside Dan Burn. He has done extremely well, with Eddie Howe describing Emil Krafth as ‘magnificent’.
Once again, Krafth has proven to be a valuable squad player, at a time when Newcastle United are desperately short of defensive options.
However, the 30-year-old could be a doubt for this weekend’s game against Wolves.
Krafth withdrew from the Sweden squad due to a minor injury, having picked up a problem during the win over Tottenham Hotspur.
While there was not a huge amount of concern surrounding Krafth’s minor injury, the Swedish defender has not been spotted in Newcastle United training ahead of Sunday’s game.
The club have uploaded 20 images from Wednesday’s session to their official website, and there is no sign of Krafth.
That is a concern ahead of facing Wolves, but it could hand Schar an immediate route back into Howe’s starting XI.
Callum Wilson spotted in the gym
While Krafth has not been spotted in Newcastle United’s training pictures, there was an appearance from Callum Wilson.

The Newcastle number nine was seen in the gym, as he continues his recovery from a back injury.
The 32-year-old missed all of pre-season, but will hopefully be back soon. However, Wilson is still a doubt for Sunday’s game against Wolves.
Instead, Alexander Isak will start up front, and he is back on Tyneside after his international exploits. While Krafth was not in the Sweden squad, Isak was, and he scored three goals in two games for his country.
