Lewis Hall receives hilarious message from his brother after Newcastle debut vs Sheffield United

With Newcastle United in complete control against Sheffield United on Sunday, Eddie Howe was able to give some of his fringe players valuable minutes.

Tino Livramento came on for his second Toon appearance, replacing Kieran Trippier on the right after the skipper laid on three assists during the 8-0 win.

There was also an appearance for Lewis Hall, who made his Newcastle United debut during the emphatic victory at Bramall Lane.

With the score at 7-0, Eddie Howe decided to bring Hall on for his first ever appearance for the club. He replaced Bruno Guimaraes in the 81st minute, being deployed as a left wing-back.

The 19-year-old did not have much to do during his 15 minute cameo. By the time he came on, the game was won.

He was at least on the pitch to witness one goal, with Alexander Isak making it eight in the 87th minute.

Even though he barely had anything to do, it was a memorable afternoon for Hall. He will hopefully go on to have an incredible Toon career, but this will always be remembered as his first game for the club he grew up supporting.

After the game, Hall took to his official Instagram account to reflect on his Toon debut.

He wrote: “Fantastic win for the boys today and very happy to make my debut for this club.”

Hall received replies from the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Sven Botman, but the best response came from Connor Hall, who is Lewis’ older brother.

He replied to the teenager’s post, writing: “Changed the game when you came on mate.”

That is a typical big brother response from Connor Hall, and it is absolutely brilliant.

But while he has joked about the game being wrapped up by the time his sibling came on, he must have been extremely proud to watch Lewis represent Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Lewis Hall will hope to play more in the coming weeks, and will be eager to make appearance number two on Wednesday night during the Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City. That will be a good chance for Howe to give more of his fringe players much-needed minutes, as he looks to rotate his squad and preserve his stars.
