According to Football London, Newcastle United target Joe Willock has been offered to Leicester City.
Willock is still an Arsenal player, but could reportedly be used to help the Gunners complete a major signing.
Football London claim that Arsenal want to sign James Maddison from the Foxes, and could offer players in exchange to help secure the deal.
They state that three players have been offered, including Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson.
However, the third name will worry Toon fans – Joe Willock.
The Magpies have been heavily linked with re-signing the midfielder this summer. The Telegraph have stated that Newcastle are willing to meet the asking price, while 90min claim that a £25million fee has been proposed.
But would a move to Leicester be more appealing for the 21-year-old?
Why would Willock join Newcastle if he’s been offered to Leicester?
Newcastle desperately need Willock back. He was integral in the second half of last season, scoring an impressive eight goals.
However, a deal is yet to be done with less than two weeks to go until the new Premier League campaign.
It seems as though Willock has no future at the Emirates. They are after a different attacking midfielder, with Maddison their prime target seemingly.
And if Leicester want to do a deal, they could do a lot worse than bring in Willock as an immediate replacement.

Leicester are a much more appealing proposition for Willock, even if he would be being used to allow Arsenal to sign Maddison.
However, there are multiple factors in this proposal. Do Leicester even want to sell Maddison? Is Willock the player they would want in exchange?
One thing is clear, and that’s that Newcastle want Willock. We need to secure his signature before the lure of Leicester looms large.
