Striker Joselu became a figure of fun somewhat during his time at Newcastle United and was sold in July 2019, for a reported £2.5 million.
He joined Alaves, who are having a disappointing season and are battling against relegation from La Liga.
But on a personal level, the Spanish hitman is having a good campaign; the most prolific of his career so far.

He has 12 goals in 30 La Liga games this season and that has drawn admiring glances from across the league.
Spanish outlet AS claim that he is close to signing a three-year deal with Espanyol, making the last big move of his career at the age of 31.
His contract expires at the end of the season and given his goalscoring form this term, he was always going to have suitors in Spain.

Newcastle have moved onto a new era now; Joselu was never the right standard for the old regime, let alone the ambitious new one.
But he was always a hard worker and it is good to see him enjoying some success now he is back in his home country.
Espanyol are currently mid-table and he should be able to replicate his form from the base of the table higher up, and perhaps some Magpies will keep an eye on his journey.
