A Newcastle United return could be on the cards for Joe Willock.
According to the Times, the Magpies have opened talks with Arsenal about re-signing the midfielder on loan.
Willock joined Newcastle on February 1st, and had an incredible spell at St James’ Park.
After scoring on his debut against Southampton, he would score in seven consecutive games to end the season.
In total, he scored eight times in 14 Premier League appearances, making him Newcastle’s second top scorer behind Callum Wilson.

After such impressive performances, it was only natural that Newcastle fans would want Willock to return.
Steve Bruce agreed, admitting in April that he would like to bring the 21-year-old back if possible.
For a long time, it looked like a deal would be difficult. A fee of £20million was reported, which is a lot of money for a club like Newcastle.
But now it looks like the two clubs have found the perfect solution.
The report about a fresh loan deal for Willock emerged after the midfielder was left out of Arsenal’s team to face Hibernian in a friendly.

If Newcastle can re-sign Willock for the season, it would be a wonderful piece of business. No matter what happens this summer, bringing him back is an absolute must.
Following the Times’ report, some Toon fans are absolutely buzzing about Willock’s potential return.
However, some supporters are praying that there is an option to buy next summer included in any deal.
Newcastle fans are buzzing that a Joe Willock return might be on the cards, but will there be an option to buy?
