Jamie Reuben has told fans that the new Newcastle owners are determined to help the club fulfil its potential.

Reuben is part of the group that bought the club last month, alongside Amanda Staveley and PIF.

RB Sports & Media own 10% of the Magpies, with Reuben leaving his role at QPR to become a director at St James’ Park.

Reuben hasn’t been seen since the Tottenham game, but has sent supporters a message ahead of Eddie Howe’s Toon debut.

The Athletic’s George Caulkin revealed the message at an event on Thursday night. Journalists gathered at the Tyneside Irish Centre to discuss the future of Newcastle United at an event organised by fan group True Faith. The night raised almost £3,000 for the Newcastle foodbank.

Caulkin has since released the message from Reuben on Twitter, which you can see below.

Newcastle United have been a club divided in recent years. But that is going to change.

A lot of fans fell out of love with the club during the Ashley era. But they can now return full of hope and optimism for the future.

PIF, Staveley and Reuben have completely changed the mood on Tyneside. And their arrival will impact things both on and off the pitch.

The surrounding area will benefit from their investment. Reuben has already vowed that his family will match foodbank donations at St James’ Park for the rest of the season.

While the takeover went through last month, the new era will truly begin on Saturday. Eddie Howe will manage Newcastle for the first time against Brentford.

The atmosphere inside St James’ Park should be incredible, and as Reuben said, ‘here’s to three points on Saturday’.
