Fabian Schar came within inches of scoring a wonder goal for Newcastle United against Leicester City.
Just two minutes into the Premier League clash, Jacob Murphy settled any nerves by firing Newcastle United into the lead.
Murphy then overtook Anthony Elanga in the Premier League charts when he doubled his goal tally following an incredible effort from Fabian Schar.
Schar, who has just extended his contract at Newcastle, fired an effort on goal from his own half. His shot had beaten goalkeeper Mads Hermansen but it came crashing back off the crossbar.
Fortunately for Schar, Murphy had followed his shot and was able to find the back of the net to give Newcastle a two-goal lead.

Jacob Murphy’s message to Fabian Schar after Newcastle win
Immediately after the goal, Schar checked Murphy wasn’t offside during the celebrations.
The Newcastle duo couldn’t quite believe the goal that had been scored, and their latest interaction on social media is brilliant.
After beating Leicester, Schar took to Instagram and posted: “Professional performance from the boys. On a plate for you @jacobmurphy95”
Murphy was quick to issue a four-word response in the comments: “Assist of the year”.
Schar would have hoped to claim the goal as his own, but he will have to settle for a simply unbelievable assist – even if it wasn’t recorded as one in the official Premier League charts.
Fabian Schar and Jacob Murphy are unsung heroes at Newcastle
Combined, Schar and Murphy have spent a total of 15 years playing for Newcastle United.
They stuck with the Magpies through thick and thin, including relegation battles in the Premier League.
Both Schar and Murphy have been in and out of the starting lineup under different managers, but under Eddie Howe they have established themselves as key players.
And now also as cup winners. Both Schar and Murphy started at Wembley against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, and their experience was priceless.
Heading into next season where Newcastle will be competing across four different fronts, Howe will need the duo to continue their impressive run of form.
