Newcastle United resume their Premier League campaign on Sunday afternoon when they face Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
The Tyneside club have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season with two wins in their opening three matches, including a crucial 2-1 victory over top-four rivals Tottenham before the international break.
Newcastle now face three away games in a row, including a League Cup trip to Wimbledon on Tuesday, September 24th. The next time the Magpies play at St James’ Park will be when reigning champions Manchester City visit on September 28th.

Next up for Newcastle is Wolves, who currently sit in the relegation zone after failing to win any of their three league games so far.
However, Newcastle’s recent record at Molineux is terrible, so Eddie Howe has a big job on his hands to pick up another three points.

Ian Wright and Roy Keane predict Wolves vs Newcastle
Newcastle will be firm favourites for their trip to Wolverhampton, but performances this season haven’t exactly matched the results.
Newcastle had their backs up against a wall against Southampton and Tottenham before hitting them on the break to steal three points. Hopefully, Sunday’s clash can provide a more dominant and comfortable display.
Speaking on The Overlap, Ian Wright and Roy Keane made their score prediction alongside Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
“Wolves have struggled,” Gary Neville said before Jamie Carragher added: “Newcastle had a lot of players out on international duty.
Roy Keane joked: “And Eddie Howe’s speaking to the English FA, he’s already left the building.”
Ian Wright said: “He’s probably having an argument as we speak with someone up there.”
Finally, Keane made their prediction, saying “No, I think that has got a draw written all over it. 1-1.”
Newcastle can target a top-four finish
Despite the disappointment from the summer transfer window, Newcastle have started the season well and they are still yet to get going.
There is so much more to come from Newcastle, especially going forward, and after building up more fitness and match rhythm over the international break they should kick on over the next few weeks.

A top-four finish, just like in the 2022/23 season, is not out of the question. Newcastle’s rivals will soon have European fixtures to tackle in the new Uefa format and that could play into Howe’s hands.
However, it is important for Newcastle to pick up maximum points in the next few games before Manchester City come to town.
