Things don’t get any easier for Newcastle, as they prepare to face Manchester City at St James’ Park.
While games are being postponed left, right and centre, the Magpies’ clash with the champions appears to be going ahead.
After the defeat to Liverpool, Eddie Howe suggested he will rotate his side against City, but how many changes will the Toon boss make?

Two changes in defence
One change Howe will be forced to make is at left-back. Jamal Lewis limped off with a hamstring problem early on against Liverpool, and the early diagnosis isn’t good for the Northern Ireland international.
Matt Ritchie replaced him at Anfield, and he’ll return to the starting XI against Pep Guardiola’s side.
We expect Howe to change his other full-back as well. Javi Manquillo has started the last four games and is probably due a rest. That should give Emil Krafth a chance, who hasn’t featured since the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Miguel Almiron replaces Jacob Murphy
Howe will look to freshen up his side against City, which is why Miguel Almiron seems likely to start. He dropped to the bench on Thursday in favour of Jacob Murphy.
But Almiron’s energy and pressing will be important against the champions, and he should start on one wing with Ryan Fraser occupying the other.
We also expect Sean Longstaff to get a chance ahead of Isaac Hayden. The 24-year-old academy graduate hasn’t started a game since Howe became manager.

Callum Wilson starts
He was on the bench against Liverpool, but Callum Wilson should return up front this time out. He’ll take Allan Saint-Maximin’s place, who limped off in the second half at Anfield.
Opportunities will be limited for Wilson, who will likely be set for a frustrating and isolated afternoon.
Predicted XI vs Man City: Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Lascelles, Ritchie; Almiron, Longstaff, Shelvey, Joelinton, Fraser; Wilson.
