Newcastle United will be aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend but that will be easier said than done against Chelsea.
It’s been an underwhelming start to the season for Newcastle United and results have now begun to match the low performance levels.
Eddie Howe’s side have gone without a victory since September 15, which came to bottom team Wolves, and lost at home to Brighton last Saturday.
Things don’t get any easier with a trip to Chelsea next on the agenda in the first match of a doubleheader between the sides this week, with a Carabao Cup tie to come in a few days.
A big performance is needed if Newcastle are to change their fortunes around and here is everything you need to know about the game.

Chelsea vs Newcastle United team news
Newcastle are still without several players as Callum Wilson, Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles remain sidelined.
Howe had hoped to have Wilson back by now but the striker has suffered a setback in his recovery and will miss another three games.
The manager said ahead of the match: “We’re going to lose Callum for the next three games. He’s just had some tightness and felt he hasn’t been able to kick on to the last part.
“He’s got no injury of such, he just isn’t ready to come back yet.”
Thankfully, there have been no fresh injury setbacks in the week.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are the most unscathed team in the Premier League and have no injuries.

Prediction
The Magpies are tough to figure out at the moment. Despite defeats to Fulham and Brighton and drawing with Everton, they put in a great display against Manchester City and picked up a draw.
Chelsea are also wildly inconsistent and it’s difficult to predict how good they will be in any given match.
This does have the makings of an industrial draw.
Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle
