It has ben confirmed that Newcastle youngster Joe White has joined Hartlepool United on loan until the end of the season.
Graeme Lee’s side are 16th in League Two, having been promoted back to the EFL from the National League via the play-offs last season.
Both Lee and White spoke to the club’s official website about the deal, which is his first loan spell away from St James’ Park.

Lee said: ‘’We are delighted to secure Joe given the high-profile interest in him recently. He is a highly rated footballer, very creative and forward thinking.
“We want to say thank you to Newcastle for working with us on this and allowing Joe to join us until the end of the season.’’
White added: “”I’m really keen to play first team football now and once I knew Hartlepool were interested I wanted to come. I know the manager wants to play good football and that was one of the key reasons why I wanted to join.
“I want to play as many games as possible between now and the end of the season, scoring and assisting goals and showing the fans what I’m capable of.”
White could make his debut against Premier League opposition next weekend when Hartlepool take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fourth round.
That means that White is now back in the cup, which his Newcastle teammates are of course out after the 1-0 home loss to Cambridge in round three.
White will be hoping to establish himself in the side as he gets a taste of what life is like in men’s football, where the results matter and it can be a slog at times.
