Former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has delivered his verdict on current boss Eddie Howe. Pardew spoke well of Howe and his Newcastle side. The Magpies face West Ham tomorrow at lunchtime in an important game for both sides.

The Hammers are looking to secure a top-four slot as they pursue the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season. As for the Toon, they’re unbeaten in their last five and are hoping to avoid the drop.

On West Ham’s club website he said, “as for Newcastle, their last three results have been pivotal for them. They definitely now have the quality within the group and they have a great young manager in Eddie Howe,”.

Howe has had a very good window and has begun to get the best out of the current squad

Thus far, the Newcastle boss has had a successful spell. He’s steering them away from the relegation zone, winning their last three games.

The Magpies brought in five new players in January. Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Bruno Guimaraes, Dan Burn and Matt Targett are all Premier League proven or demonstrate real quality.

Additionally, Howe has been able to turn around the form of many players. Joelinton looks like a new man in his new central midfield role. Joe Willock looks more at ease since struggling on his permanent arrival last summer.

Ryan Fraser is beginning to find his form of old when both Howe and he were at Bournemouth. While Jonjo Shelvey has found his mojo again in the middle of the park.

The recent unbeaten run will give Newcastle immense confidence heading into the fixture. The Hammers will not be taking this game lightly, if they do they could well pay the price.

Last weekend’s victory against Aston Villa was a significant three points. Villa have been looking much better under Steven Gerrard, so for them to perform well and win is a demonstration of how far they’ve come.

A result against West Ham would be massive for Newcastle. It would push them further away from relegation, but also it would be a big statement taking points off one of the in-form teams this season.
