Eddie Howe has conducted his first press conference as the manager of Newcastle.
He also gave an interview to the club’s YouTube channel before facing the wider press.
It was his first opportunity to get his vision across for what he wants the club to become.
Howe was asked about matters off the pitch but reiterated more than once that his focus was on football and that was what he wanted to speak about.
Newcastle fans on Twitter reacted to the press briefing and the first interview. It is fair to say they liked what they saw.
Howe spoke well and underlined the fact he wants the club to play on the front foot.
The contrast was marked from Steve Bruce and that was reflected in the social media response.
