Emil Krafth was selected to start Sweden’s first game since Euro 2020 last night, when they took on Spain.
The two sides faced either other in Seville in the group stage of the Euros, with grinding out a 0-0 draw.
Sweden won this rematch in front of their home fans 2-1 thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Victor Claessen.
Krafth put in a shift, making six successful clearances as he played the full 90 minutes, as per WhoScored.
He picked up a booking on 52 minutes, on a night where he had to get stuck in.
There was also an interception, a block, and even a dribble as Sweden came from behind to win.
After the game, Krafth wrote a message on Instagram, underlining how thrilled he was with the performance.
This was a history-making night as Sweden inflicted Spain’s first defeat in 66 consecutive World Cup qualifiers, dating back to 1993.
Sweden face Uzbekistan in a friendly before travelling to play Greece away next week in another World Cup qualifier.
Krafth will hope to return to Newcastle with three wins from three matches and build on the momentum of a great night.
