Newcastle United could be set to splash the cash this summer with Eddie Howe in line to receive a huge transfer budget.
With Champions League football still a major possibility, the Newcastle owners are making plans on how much money to spend ahead of next season.
There are two budgets in mind, but the club are now leaning towards the more lucrative amount due to the Magpies’ position in the table. We remain on course to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, which will lead to more money being made available to Howe.
Newcastle on course for £150m transfer budget
According to the Sun, PIF will give Howe between £100million and £150million to spend on new players if the club finish in the top four.
The top end of £150million is more than Newcastle have ever spent in single transfer window since the change of ownership.

The first transfer window after the takeover saw the Magpies spend around £90million. They then invested just over £120million on new players last summer, including a club record deal for Alexander Isak. In January, the club forked out just shy of £50million to sign Anthony Gordon and Harrison Ashby.
PIF could now spend more than ever before – if we qualify for the Champions League.
Eddie Howe wants to sign four new players
Howe already has a plan for what he wants to do with the budget, regardless of how big or small it is.

The report adds that the Toon boss is looking to sign at least four new players. They claim that he wants a centre-midfielder, a left-back, a winger and a right-sided centre-back.
If the budget is £150million, that means Howe can spend £37.5million on each of those positions. That is a lot of money when you break it down like that. And his budget can also be boosted by player sales, with the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin being linked with a move away from St James’ Park.
It is going to be a summer of change on Tyneside, with PIF looking set to flex their financial muscles more than ever before.
