Eddie Howe was offered another reminder of the job he has on his hands at Newcastle with the 4-0 defeat at Leicester on Sunday.
In fairness, Newcastle were in the game before James Maddison won a soft penalty and two late goals added some gloss to the scoreline.
Howe has the backing of former Magpies striker Demba Ba, who delivered his verdict on Howe in an interview with The i.
He clearly has a lot of admiration for the job Howe did at Bournemouth as he now seeks to guide Newcastle away from relegation danger.

“Lokomotiv Moscow loved his profile as a coach,” Ba said of Howe. The former striker spent time visiting Ralf Rangnick when he was in Moscow.
Ba, who played under Rangnick at Hoffenheim, asked: “Would the top five coaches in the world be able to do what [Howe] did at Bournemouth?”
“The big clubs in England can be beaten, but not by attacking them where their strength lies. I try to have a different perspective.
“It’s a bit like those spider cameras they use. It is not the same view as the touchline camera and I’ve always tried to look at the whole situation.

Howe is a good manager who is all-in with Newcastle and has made a good impression in the short time he has been in charge so far.
The January transfer window should help him improve things and the signs are that Newcastle will not be cut adrift by the time it opens.
Ba’s comments are a reminder of how highly thought of Howe is in the wider world of football, not just at Newcastle, and he is more than capable of guiding Newcastle to safety.
