Newcastle United should make a summer move for Wilfried Zaha according to Darren Bent.
The Crystal Palace forward could reportedly leave Selhurst Park this summer, after years of speculation over a move away.
Zaha has been linked with the Premier League’s biggest clubs in the past, but was priced out of a move away.
The big boys don’t seem to be interested anymore, but Bent believes a potential future force in England should make a move.

Newcastle ‘might be maybe the place’ for Zaha
The former Tottenham and Sunderland striker spoke on TalkSPORT (3/5/22) about Zaha’s future.
“What is he, 30? I think Newcastle might be maybe the place for him,” Bent said.
“If I’m Newcastle, I’m trying to get him because he’s a top player. But if he doesn’t leave this summer, then I think that’s him at Crystal Palace.
“Unless he moves this summer, I can see him staying at Palace for the rest of his career.”

Bent must want a scouting job at St James’ Park
Bent saying a player should leave his current club for Newcastle is becoming a regular occurrence. It was only last week when he was touting James Ward-Prowse for a move to the North East. Perhaps the former England international wants to be part of Eddie Howe’s recruitment team.
Regardless, a move for Zaha would certainly be interesting. The 29-year-old is a top player, as Bent says, and would certainly improve our attacking ranks.
He’s having a wonderful season, currently boasting 12 Premier League goals – his best ever tally.

Whether he plays through the middle or from the flank, he’s capable of winning games on his own and has thrived in the talisman role at Selhurst Park. He’s similar to Allan Saint-Maximin, but his end product is much better than our number 10’s.
If Newcastle do what Bent says and make a move for Zaha, it could polarise fans. The Palace star often gets a frosty reception at St James’ Park, and was the subject of mass boos last month.
He had a frustrating night, struggling up against the in form Emil Krafth. There’s no shame in that though, given how good the super Swede has been lately.
