Newcastle United have been linked with a summer move for Adama Traore.
90min claim that the Magpies are one of three Premier League clubs interested in the Wolves winger, alongside Tottenham and Leeds.
Traore left Wolves in January, joining Barcelona on loan where he bagged four assists. However, he’ll be returning to England this summer, with Barca opting against signing permanently. They did have an option to sign him for £29million but have decided not to.
But the 26-year-old’s contract at Molineux expires next summer, so Wolves want to cash in on him now.

As for Newcastle, we’re in the market for a wide midfielder, which is why Traore has emerged as a target. And it’s a rumour that will certainly interested Toon defender Dan Burn.
Dan Burn’s hilarious Adama Traore comment
Burn and Ryan Fraser were interviewed by Sky Sports in April to discuss their FIFA 22 ratings. The topic of speed came up, with Burn unhappy with his rating.
“The only time I am slow is when I play against Adama Traore, then I really feel slow. But he’s gone to Barcelona so it’s sweet,” Burn said.
“I was buzzing [that Traore left Wolves]. I was more buzzing when he went to Barcelona than signing here.”

When you look back at what happened when Burn and Traore met at the Amex last year, it’s no wonder the towering defender was glad to see the back of him.
Brighton and Wolves drew 3-3 back in January 2021, with Traore terrorising Burn. The centre-back scythed down Traore to concede a penalty, while he also scored an own goal.
In the words of Alan Shearer, Traore gave Burn an ‘awful time’.
Traore is a nightmare for defenders

Burn probably isn’t the only defender who hates playing against Adama Traore. His pace and power can make him unstoppable at times.
A move to Newcastle would probably delight the local lad as it would mean he’d only have to play against the speedster in training.
However, Traore’s end product is not as good as it should be. He doesn’t get enough assists or score enough goals for a man of his ability. Traore is often erratic in the final third, which can make him wildly frustrating.
He may have had Burn ‘buzzing’ earlier in the year, but he’s not a signing that would excite every Newcastle fan.
