Newcastle United have hit the gold mine in the transfer window since the takeover.
Other than the signing of Chris Wood (who still played a key role in initially keeping Newcastle in the Premier League), pretty much every addition made since PIF’s takeover has hit the ground running.
Indeed, the club have not signed big names for the sake of it.

Instead, they have signed the right players at the right time, helping the club scale new heights. Wednesday night’s huge win over PSG, after all, was surely the high point of the Eddie Howe era thus far.
The recruitment should be commended and one of the arrivals has been speaking about it in glowing terms.
Dan Burn hails the recruitment done at Newcastle
Dan Burn, a £13m signing from Brighton in January 2022, scored against PSG. A local lad now playing for his boyhood club after quite the journey through the lower leagues, it is a fantastic story.
Speaking to The Chronicle, the 31-year-old hailed the club’s recruitment policy.
“That’s the one thing I would say about our recruitment – I don’t think we’ve gone out there and just picked anyone, there’s been a lot of thought put into it, character references, those sort of things, and there’s no-one in there who thinks they’re bigger than the team,” he said.
“We work hard for each other and get each other over the line.”

Newcastle are in safe hands
Given just how well the recruitment has gone for so long, it seems safe to assume Newcastle are in safe hands.
Not even Champions League qualification last season tempted the owners’ hands into going out and spending on big names for the sake of it.
Instead, they remain committed to strengthening in key areas, all while Howe yields more and more out of the players he inherited.
Things are going very well indeed.
