One more win and Newcastle United are a Champions League club.
The win against Brighton means that Eddie Howe’s side have the chance to cement their place in the top four on Monday when they face Leicester City at St James’ Park.
If Newcastle pick up three points, there is no way they can be replaced inside the Premier League’s top four. It will be party time inside the ground if that happens.
However, the party could already begin on Saturday if Liverpool lose against Aston Villa. That would mean Newcastle qualify for the Champions League without even kicking a ball.
Regardless of the situation, Monday is going to be a big game. That is because Leicester City are also playing for something – survival.

They will need a result on Tyneside, and might have to win – otherwise they could be officially relegated if results go against them this weekend.
It is a big game at both ends of the Premier League table, but pundit Chris Sutton thinks it will be the Geordies who are celebrating.
Chris Sutton thinks Newcastle will beat Leicester
As part of his Premier League predictions for BBC Sport, Sutton has tipped Newcastle to win 3-1 and guarantee a top four finish.
“This is the game which is going to bury Leicester,” he said.
“They will still have something to fight for when they play Newcastle but, defensively, I just can’t see them keeping Eddie Howe’s side out.”
Sutton added: “Leicester have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of the table – and more than Aston Villa, who are eighth, too.
“The Foxes have some excellent attacking players but their defence is just not good enough. Even the return of Jonny Evans, who is a real warrior, has not changed that.
“That’s why I don’t think they will be able to compete with Newcastle, who have got a top-four finish in their sights and could take a big step towards that here.”

Perfect game for Newcastle
While the Brighton fixture was a potential banana skin, the game against Leicester is one that Toon fans will relish.
We know that Leicester need to attack the game – they are fighting for their lives. That could leave them open at the back, and they are a team that have major defensive issues. That was apparent on Monday when they were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool.
Sutton thinks Leicester’s defensive deficiencies will be the undoing of them, and that is why he thinks Newcastle will come out on top.
With just one win needed from our remaining two games, this is the perfect chance to do it. Under the lights. In front of a raucous St James’ Park crowd. It could be the perfect end to an outrageously good season.
