Callum Wilson has shared his reaction to Newcastle signing Brazilian international midfielder Bruno Guimaraes during the January transfer window.
Speaking on the BBC’s Footballer’s Football Podcast, Wilson said he did not know an awful lot about Bruno but that he would bring quality to the squad.
Bruno is probably the most unknown of Newcastle’s January arrivals to a British audience but also the most exciting given his pedigree.

“I’ve not heard much about Bruno,” said Wilson. “But I’m sure he’s a great talent and he’s only going to add quality to our squad.
“Looking forward to seeing him play and train and welcoming all the new guys as well.
“One minute the medical guys were there and then the next minute they’re doing a medical!”
Newcastle have got people in who know the Premier League, or in the exceptional case of Bruno, got someone of international and Champions League pedigree.
It is to be hoped that he settles in well and can bring some of that quality to the party right away and make Eddie Howe’s side closer to what the manager wants them to be.
He seems a huge coup for the club on paper and there has been considerable excitement about his assist for Brazil against Miguel Almiron’s Paraguay.
