Newcastle United are finally back at St James’ Park tonight to face Wolves.
It’s the Magpies’ first home game since March 5th when they beat Brighton 2-1. Since then Eddie Howe’s side have faced four away trips, picking up just three points.
Newcastle have lost three games in a row, and will be praying it doesn’t become four against Bruno Lage’s men. So who will Howe pick to stop the rot?

No change at the back predicted for Newcastle
Despite shipping five goals against Tottenham, it’s difficult to see Howe making any changes in defence.
Javi Manquillo had a rough afternoon on Sunday, but his pace should give him the nod against Wolves ahead of Emil Krafth. The Spaniard’s speed could be pivotal against the likes of Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto.

Jamaal Lascelles is one player who’ll be itching for a recall, but that will likely only happen if Howe shifts to a back five. That is a possibility if he decides to match up formations with Wolves, but a back four feels most likely.
Therefore, the 28-year-old will probably have to settle for a role on the bench.
Bruno Guimaraes back in the starting lineup
Bruno Guimaraes started on the bench against Tottenham and was a big miss. He seems certain to start against Wolves, especially with Joe Willock being a doubt due to injury.
If Bruno does start, it will be his first at St James’ Park. So far he’s been reduced to substitute appearances at home.

However, it’s time for him to be in the starting XI permanently. Even in defeat, he proved his class against Spurs, looking to dictate play and launch attacks.
Despite our recent poor showings, it’s incredibly exciting to see Bruno in action.
Pressure on forwards against Wolves
The Newcastle United forwards need to step up against Wolves.

Pressure is mounting on Chris Wood, who has failed to capitalise on his first Toon goal last month. With Callum Wilson edging closer to a return, Wood needs to start truly justifying his place in the starting XI.
Another player we need a big performance from is Allan Saint-Maximin. He was disappointing on Sunday, receiving some rough treatment from Spurs.
Hopefully he has more joy back at St James’ Park.
Predicted XI vs Wolves: Dubravka; Manquillo, Schar, Burn, Targett; Fraser, Bruno, Shelvey, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin; Wood.
