Bruno Guimaraes has responded to a fantastic gesture from Newcastle United teammate Alexander Isak.
It is no surprise that the Magpies captain has once again taken to social media to speak to one of his teammates. He has become known for it during his three years on Tyneside.
Bruno Guimaraes was named Newcastle United captain at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign and has taken the role in his stride.
After Eddie Howe’s side endured a rocky start to the Premier League season, results picked up and Newcastle moved higher up the table.
In the season’s latter stages, Guimaraes will always take to social media to thank the fans, whether Newcastle wins or loses. Most recently, Guimaraes issued a Champions League plea to Newcastle fans ahead of the final three games in the Premier League season.
Additionally, Guimaraes thanked Newcastle fans after the 3-0 win against Ipswich Town at St James’ Park in late April.
Now, the Brazilian has returned to social media to respond to a claim from teammate Alexander Isak.

Bruno Guimaraes responds to Alexander Isak’s Newcastle United training claim
Newcastle are training hard behind the scenes ahead of the Premier League’s finale. Howe was handed a much-needed boost after Fabian Schar was seen in Newcastle’s training pictures earlier this week.
There were concerns over the 34-year-old’s fitness after he limped off during Newcastle’s 1-1 draw against Brighton, but the problem does not appear to be serious.
Bruno will undoubtedly be working hard in training to set an example as captain, and Isak is well aware of that. On Sky Sports’ Instagram, Isak was asked who the first player he would want to be on his team in training.
The 25-year-old immediately responded with Bruno’s name. The video caught the Newcastle midfielder’s attention, where he commented “my guy” in response to Isak’s statement.

Heartwarming Newcastle United training ground moment caught on camera
While Bruno is Newcastle’s social media king, Dan Burn has been hailed as the Magpies’ hero and an inspiration to many on Tyneside.
Burn scored the opener in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup win in March, a sensational header which will live long in the memory for fans. Arne Slot admitted Burn’s goal was one of a kind, saying he had never seen a header like that in his entire career.
On Thursday, Sky Sports visited Newcastle’s training ground, where a group of promising young footballers were given the chance to meet the players and watch training. While they got to play games with Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali, the children only wanted to meet Burn.
A video showed the moment they got to meet their hero, and the 32-year-old gladly gave them all high-fives. The group took a picture with the Newcastle players and listened to a speech from first-team coach Graeme Jones.
