Newcastle United are without some key players right now, much to the frustration of Bruno Guimaraes.
There is an injury crisis at Newcastle right now, which has resulted in the Magpies losing back-to-back games. First they were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, then they followed that with another 2-0 loss. This time it was in the Premier League to Bournemouth, who have struggled so far this season.
Those two defeats have took the gloss off what has been a strong start to the season for Newcastle. However, they are braced for a difficult winter with so many players unavailable right now.
Eddie Howe’s squad is seriously stretched, and it is not expected to get much better when his side take on Chelsea immediately after the international break.
Newcastle will at least be boosted by the return of Bruno Guimaraes, who was suspended for the defeat to Bournemouth.
He will return to the side, and has named three players who Newcastle are majorly missing at this moment in time.
Bruno Guimaraes thinks Newcastle are missing three ‘important players’
Bruno Guimaraes has spoke to Milan News about Newcastle’s season so far, and was asked what is currently going wrong for the Magpies.
“We are missing very important players like Tonali, Botman and Isak,” he said.

Two of Newcastle’s stars will return soon hopefully
Newcastle are missing three of their most expensive players ever, and Bruno believes that is a big issue.
Sadly, one of the players who Bruno named will not play for the rest of the season. That is because Sandro Tonali is banned until August 2024 for betting.
However, there is hope that Alexander Isak and Sven Botman are not far away from recovering from their respective groin and knee injuries.
It has been reported that Isak is hoping to be available for selection once again immediately after the international break, which is great news following Callum Wilson’s injury.
As for Botman, it has been claimed that he is nearing a return to training after suffering a knee injury that the club have struggled to diagnose. They are hoping that rest is enough for him to recover, and we will soon see if that proves to be the case.
Hopefully Isak and Botman are back in action soon, as Bruno believes that their absence is seriously hindering Newcastle United right now.
