Bruno Guimaraes has sent an emotional comment to former Newcastle United owner Amanda Staveley on social media.
Some fans will argue that the club is not the same as it was when Amanda Staveley was on Tyneside.
The 52-year-old was the face of Newcastle United’s historic takeover in 2021, getting PIF on board to help the Magpies become one of the richest football clubs in the world.
Staveley left Newcastle alongside husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi in 2024 following a turbulent PSR deadline, which saw the club forced to sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh, two players who had bright futures at the club.
Despite the frosty exit, Staveley is still loved by those inside Newcastle. She attended the Carabao Cup final with her family earlier this year after an invite from Jamie Reuben.
While she has been gone for a year, Bruno Guimaraes has made his feelings clear about her.

Staveley was responsible for signing several top players at Newcastle. In a recent interview, she admitted that Newcastle thought there was no chance that Sandro Tonali would want to join the club, but she managed to convince him.
Elsewhere, Staveley had a brilliant relationship with Eddie Howe. She was desperate to bring him to the club after he impressed during his interview.
Staveley sometimes takes the time to post on her Instagram page about the club she used to own. Whether it is congratulating them or wishing them luck. It was no different on Sunday, when Staveley sent a good luck message to the Newcastle Women’s team, who play Birmingham on Sunday.
In the replies, Guimaraes said: “Come back, queen”.
It is not the first time that Guimaraes has responded to Staveley on social media. Guimaraes was emotional when Staveley left Newcastle, calling the PCP president “one of us.”

What has Amanda Staveley been doing since leaving Newcastle United?
It is clear that her departure from the club still stings. Staveley was visibly emotional on her recent appearance on the High Performance Podcast, where host Jake Humphries read out messages from the fans after her exit.
However, Staveley could find herself back in football soon if she gets her way.
Reports have suggested that Staveley is interested in buying Tottenham Hotspur, though she has been met with a “not for sale” message from the Lewis family.
Despite that, Staveley is still keen to make Tottenham hers, though she may have to wait a bit longer. For now, she continues to support Newcastle from afar, knowing that she had a big part in the success the Magpies have achieved in the last 12 months.
