Such has been the rapid-fire progress at Newcastle United during the PIF era, the club are now seen as a potential landing spot for top talents.
While the PIF owners have so far strayed from making superstar signings for the sake of it, leading players with most of their careers ahead of them are linked with a move to Newcastle.
Indeed, the likes of Gabri Veiga have been touted as a potential target despite supposedly rival interest from storied clubs such as Chelsea and Liverpool.

Housed as a home for big names in European football these days, another star has now been linked with Newcastle.
Atletico Madrid believe Newcastle would be good for Joao Felix
According to The Chronicle, senior figures at Atletico Madrid believe a move to Newcastle would be good for Joao Felix.

The Portugal international joined Chelsea on loan in January but failed to wholly convince and will not be staying at Stamford Bridge long-term.
Atletico, for their part, are reportedly looking to send the 23-year-old back out on loan this summer and believe a team such as Newcastle would be the perfect move.

Difficult to see Newcastle moving for Joao Felix
Felix is clearly a talented player, having shown glimpses during his stint at Chelsea.
Still, it’s not the type of signing Newcastle have made since the takeover.
Though young enough to develop into a leading player, wages could be a real issue. Reported to have cost Chelsea £270k-per-week during his short time there, that is surely too much money for Newcastle to consider.
Previous reports have suggested Newcastle will not be looking to break their wage structure this summer. Given the money Felix would seemingly cost on a weekly basis even on loan, it’s hard to imagine PIF sanctioning such a move at this stage.
