According to the Independent, Amanda Staveley and co have a big concern even if they get the go ahead to complete a takeover of Newcastle.

PCP Capital Partners agreed a deal to buy the Magpies last summer.

However, a deal collapsed due to the Premier League being unable to provide a definitive answer over their Owners’ and Directors’ test.

Now Mike Ashley is involved in two legal battles against the Premier League as he looks to resurrect a deal.

Arbitration is set to take place this month. However, a date is reportedly yet to be set.

Pressure is mounting on the Premier League from the buyer and seller, but it is unclear when the saga will reach a conclusion.

Will Amanda Staveley be able to influence this summer if she completes Newcastle takeover?

At the moment, it is unclear if Amanda Staveley Saudi-led consortium will be able to complete a deal for Newcastle.

However, even if they do, the prospective owners already have immediate concerns.

According to the Independent, the buyers are worried that they won’t have time this summer to help the club in the transfer market.

Even if legal proceedings go our way, it is unclear how long it would take to get a deal completed. This is what Telegraph reporter Luke Edwards stated on Twitter last week.

As it stands, we are facing up to a new season still owned by Mike Ashley with little to no investment.

PCP Capital Partners could change that. But it is unclear if they will get the chance to do so this summer.

However, while they might not be able to buy any players, their sheer presence will surely lift the mood around the club.
