Amanda Staveley left Newcastle United in 2024, but still keeps an eye on the Magpies.
She stepped down from her role as a director at Newcastle United over the summer, as well as selling all of her shares in the club.
Since Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi departed, there has been speculation over them getting back into Premier League football. Staveley has been linked with investing in Tottenham Hotspur, but talk of a possible deal in North London has gone quiet.
But Staveley did have her eyes on goings on in North London on Tuesday night, as the Magpies took a giant step towards the 2025 Carabao Cup final.

On Tuesday night, Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. Goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon have given the Magpies an advantage, as they prepare for the second leg at St James’ Park next month.
It was an incredible performance, and one that Staveley has now reacted to via her official Instagram account.
Alongside a picture of herself, Staveley wrote: “A huge well done to the @nufc team on their brilliant result in the first leg of the Carabao Cup! I’ve no doubt they will go on to do just as well in the next match. Huge congratulations to Eddie and the entire squad.”
Staveley was with Newcastle United the last time they were at Wembley
Newcastle United are trying to end their trophy drought.
The Magpies are desperate for silverware, and came so close to a trophy in 2023.
It was the first full season of the new ownership, and Eddie Howe guided Newcastle United to the Carabao Cup final. Sadly, his side were beaten at Wembley by Manchester United.
Staveley was in attendance alongside Toon chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan at Wembley, and consoled the players after an agonising defeat.
But the Toon Army did themselves proud that weekend. Staveley was staggered by the Newcastle supporters, as they painted the capital black and white.
They will hope to do that again in March, where they will face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur if they can get past Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on February 5th.
