Newcastle United talisman Allan Saint-Maximin has vowed it’s time to show his ‘quality’ in a message to supporters.
The Frenchman is enduring a rough patch in the famous black and white, with an injury disrupting his bright start to 2022.
Saint-Maximin hasn’t started since the 1-0 win over Aston Villa, featuring just three times since then as a substitute.
His last two cameos were particularly disappointing, coming in defeats to Chelsea and Everton. He’s been on the end of some criticism from supporters – a lot of which has been largely over the top and unnecessary.

The 25-year-old needs a chance to prove the doubters wrong, and hopefully that will come against Tottenham this weekend.
Allan Saint-Maximin’s message for supporters
Ahead of the game, Saint-Maximin has sent a message to supporters via his official Instagram account.
He wrote: “Quality time with the Helios community. Now it’s time to be focussed and show quality on the pitch. Let’s show them.”
Fitness issues hopefully behind Saint-Maximin
The winger has been battling fitness issues in recent weeks. That’s why he’s spent a lot of time on the bench lately.
But the international break has probably came at a good time for Saint-Maximin. He travelled to Dubai with the rest of his teammates for warm weather training.
The trip will hopefully have boosted Saint-Maximin’s fitness levels, allowing him to potentially start in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

While Newcastle have done well in his absence, he has certainly been missed at times. His natural ability is unrivalled at Newcastle – when he’s on form he can be unstoppable.
His appearances off the bench have been underwhelming. Perhaps he’s been too desperate to make a point after some criticism on social media.
We all know the quality Saint-Maximin possesses. As he says, now is the time to show everyone and remind supporters why he is one of the Premier League’s most exciting players.
