12 Newcastle United players are on international duty over the next week or so. Here’s every Magpies star involved and the fixtures they could feature in.

Newcastle’s disappointing draw with Everton means the Magpies enter the international break with a sour taste in their mouth.

Currently sat seventh in the Premier League table, Eddie Howe’s men have endured a pretty mixed start to the season with the international period allowing time for the Newcastle coaching staff to recoup and reflect ahead of a busy upcoming winter period.

In the meantime though, a number of Newcastle stars will jet off to play for their country – here is every Magpies player departing St James’ Park on international duty.

Anthony Gordon impressed in Lee Carsley’s first two games as England boss and the Newcastle man will be keen to put on a show against Greece and Finland.

Toon shot-stopper Nick Pope also returns to the squad alongside Jordan Pickford and Dean Henderson.

Bruno Guimaraes will once again play a key role in Brazil’s midfield for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The Magpies midfielder will be hoping to inspire the Selecao to a much-needed six points, with Dorival Junior’s side currently behind the likes of Ecuador and Colombia in the South American qualifying table.

Having recently registered his first Newcastle appearance against AFC Wimbledon, Odysseas Vlachodimos will be looking to carry that positivity into the international break.

The Magpies keeper is set to face off against fellow Toon teammates Gordon and Pope, when Greece line-up against England on Thursday evening.

Sandro Tonali unsurprisingly returns to Italy duty this October having impressed against France in the last set of internationals.

The Toon midfielder smartly set up Federico Dimarco’s wonder goal against Les Blues back in September and he will be hoping to provide the goods once again when the Azzurri face off against Belgium and Israel.

Miguel Alimiron’s Paraguay are set for a huge clash against Venezuela, with only one place currently separating the two sides in the South American qualifying table.
