Newcastle United have hit a purple patch in a tough part of the season.
Alexander Isak was on top form once again as he became the first Newcastle player to score a hat-trick since Ayoze Perez did it against Southampton in April 2019.
Newcastle beat Ipswich Town comfortably on Saturday with Jacob Murphy also getting himself on the scoresheet for the second time in three games.
It was another clean sheet for Martin Dubravka who has now played in Newcastle’s Premier League win against Leicester and Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Brentford which featured Newcastle target Bryan Mbeumo.
Now, one player has taken to social media to reflect on the performance.

Bruno Guimaraes congratulates Alexander Isak on social media following stunning hat-trick
Bruno Guimaraes was fantastic once again in the win against Ipswich. The Brazilian played 80 minutes before being substituted for Lewis Miley but he left a lasting impression on the pitch.
The 27-year-old bagged an assist for Isak’s second goal and completed 91% of his passes. It felt like he didn’t have to break a sweat alongside Sandro Tonali who he is forming a spectacular partnership.
Despite the absence of Joelinton due to suspension, Newcastle’s midfield was unphased even when things were changed up with the arrival of Sean Longstaff.
The Magpies captain took to Instagram and X to reflect on the result.
Guimaraes said: “A perfect week for us! 3 games and 3 big wins! Happy to have provided another assist. Have a great Christmas, NUFC fans. Howay the lads. Very happy for you @alex_isak. Goleador”.
Bruno Guimaraes’ wasn’t distracted by any outside noise Newcastle’s win against Ipswich
Speculation around Guimaraes’ future at Newcastle has been discussed since the summer transfer window.
Reports suggesting that Manchester City were interested in Guimaraes were shut down with the suggestion that Guimaraes isn’t in the Cityzens January transfer plans.
Newcastle insist that the Brazilian isn’t for sale at all in January much to the delight of Toon fans.
Any suggestion that outside influence may have hindered his performance on Saturday was quashed based on how well he played in the win.
Fans will be hoping he can play like that again in the Boxing Day clash against Aston Villa at St James’ Park.
