Newcastle United have been linked with some high profile managers as of late with the pressure now piling on Eddie Howe.
In recent weeks, it has emerged that Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann could be considered for the job should Newcastle be looking to replace Howe as manager this summer.
A new report from HITC now claims that the 36-year-old will be looking for a new club job after this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament amid Newcastle’s interest.
Nagelsmann could be interested in being Newcastle manager
Newcastle’s owners are currently not considering sacking Howe at this very moment in time, but things can change very quickly in football and their upcoming FA Cup quarter final at Man City could be key.
Their Premier League form has taken a huge hit, largely due to injuries, and they are now facing dropping into the bottom half of the table after last years incredible Champions League qualification success.
Should Newcastle continue to struggle in the league and potentially drop even further, there could be questions asked about the 46-year-old heading into the new season, and the rumours surrounding Nagelsmann could increase.
After just six months as manager of the German national team, Nagelsmann is already looking to get back into club football and Newcastle would certainly be an exciting long-term project for a young coach like him to get his teeth into.

Newcastle face stiff competition for Nagelsmann
It’s not just a one horse race for the former Bayern Munich manager, Newcastle will have plenty of competition for Nagelsmann if they are hoping he will join Tyneside in the near future.
It’s understood that the German could be available for Barcelona, Liverpool and Man United as well as Newcastle this summer, and three of those are likely to be able to offer him European football.
It’s a tough challenge for Newcastle who will really have to sell this long-term project to the head coach and explain why it would be beneficial for him to join over any of those other European giants.
For now, however, the club looks set to continue on this path with Howe hoping that things will turn around quickly, though they may just have one eye on Nagelsmann’s situation this summer.
