Newcastle United fans and Bruno Guimaraes are dreaming of another trip to Wembley this season.

There was heartbreak a year ago, as Newcastle United lost at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final. They were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United, with Bruno Guimaraes in tears after the final whistle.

But the FA Cup could give Newcastle a route back to the national stadium this season, as they beat Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night to advance to the quarter finals.

The Magpies are now one game away from another Wembley appearance, as Eddie Howe looks to eventually end Newcastle United’s trophy drought.

The FA Cup journey very nearly came to an end on Tuesday night, but Martin Dubravka kept it alive. He was our hero in the penalty shootout, making two saves to dump Blackburn out of the competition and keep Newcastle in it.

There were incredible scenes in the away end at full time, after 7,000 Geordies made the journey to Lancashire.

Bruno Guimaraes celebrates with the Newcastle United fans

And the players and fans celebrated in unison after the full time whistle, as shown by a video on the official Match Of The Day Twitter account.

After the game, Dan Burn and Bruno can be seen giving their shirts to fans. The Brazilian then embraces a selection of supporters, as he continues his love affair with the Toon Army.

The 26-year-old then returns to the pitch and turns to the fans again, and begins to sing along with what they are chanting.

Bruno can be seen singing ‘we’ll support you evermore’ as the travelling Newcastle fans make their voices heard.

Bruno wants FA Cup glory just as much as the Newcastle fans

The clip just sums up the incredible relationship Bruno has with the fans. Not only is he an incredible footballer, but he is also a talisman. He appears to relish being idolised, and he plays as if he is a fan.

He is on this journey with every Newcastle United supporter, and wants this great club to win a trophy.

That is still a possibility this season, with the Magpies now in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
