Bruno Guimaraes refused to hide his emotions as Newcastle United beat Arsenal to advance to the Carabao Cup final.
It was an incredible night on Tyneside, as Newcastle United beat Arsenal 2-0 to book their place at Wembley in March. While there were plenty of nerves heading into each game, it actually proved to be comfortable for Newcastle United, as they triumphed 4-0 on aggregate.
The Magpies’ big players delivered on the big occasion, with the St James’ Park atmosphere befitting of a special evening. Bruno Guimaraes thanked fans for the support, as he prepares to captain Newcastle United at Wembley against either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur.
Bruno Guimaraes played with his heart on his sleeve, putting in the type of performance you would expect from such a talented and passionate player. Once the full-time whistle went, he refused to hide that passion. He was raising his arms to the crowd, jumping on his teammates and savouring a special night.

Bruno Guimaraes shows the love to Anthony Gordon after Newcastle United beat Arsenal
The 27-year-old loved every bit of Wednesday night, and his outpouring of emotion did not end after leaving the pitch.
After the game, Anthony Gordon spoke to Newcastle United’s media team about the win over Arsenal and advancing to the Carabao Cup final.
However, the interview was gate-crashed by Bruno.
Just as Gordon gets set to answer another question, the Newcastle United captain emerges, grabs him by the head, kisses him on the cheek and says ‘love you’.
All Gordon could do was smile and laugh, as Bruno exited to allow the interview to continue.
Anthony Gordon’s incredible numbers against the ‘big six’
I think every Newcastle United fan would love to do what Bruno did to Gordon on Wednesday night!
The 23-year-old delivered once again, scoring the Magpies’ second goal of the night with a smart finish.
Gordon is continuing to enjoy a spectacular season, with the winger boasting nine goals and six assists in all competitions.
What is even more impressive is the calibre of teams that Gordon is scoring or assisting against. In games against the traditional ‘big six’ this season, Gordon has scored five goals and provided two assists.
The England international has become a difference-maker on the grandest stage, which bodes well for the Carabao Cup final at Wembley against either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur.
If Gordon scores in the final, Bruno will not be the only Newcastle United player wanting to give him a kiss!
