Newcastle United won away from home on Saturday night, and they will be looking to do it again at the expense of Aston Villa on Tuesday.

The Magpies are back in Premier League action as they head to Villa Park, where they will face a side that is looking to qualify for the Champions League.

Aston Villa are doing what we did last season, and that is why this is going to be an incredibly tough game for Eddie Howe‘s side.

But Newcastle will have some confidence after beating Fulham, and this is the Toon XI that we predict will start against Aston Villa

Newcastle defence is unchanged after clean sheet

The Magpies kept a clean sheet against Fulham on Saturday night, and that was largely down to the defensive efforts of Sven Botman, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn. They were superb at Craven Cottage, with the latter scoring Newcastle’s second goal.

It will be the same back five against Aston Villa, which means that Tino Livramento will be on the bench – much to the disappointment of a lot of fans.

There will also be no place for Jamaal Lascelles, who looks likely to miss out due to injury as he continues to be linked with a move away.

Joe White on the bench against Aston Villa

The January transfer window is ongoing, and there should be a fresh face on the Newcastle bench on Tuesday night.

But it will not be a new signing. Instead, it will be Joe White, who is back with the club following his loan spell with Crewe.

Eddie Howe has stated that the 21-year-old is going to get a chance in the first-team, and he could make his senior Newcastle debut at Villa Park as a substitute.

Jacob Murphy on the right for Newcastle

The big question is who will play on the right of attack for Newcastle.

Jacob Murphy returned on Saturday after a shoulder injury, coming in for Miguel Almiron. He was out with illness, as rumours surrounding a departure continue to swirl.

With Miggy’s situation unclear, we expect Murphy to continue in the side. It will be the £12million man’s first Premier League start since October 21st. On that day, he scored and provided two assists in a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
