Newcastle United have battered plenty of teams in the Premier League this season, and Paul Merson believes that Leicester City will be their next victims.
The Foxes travel to St James’ Park in search of a victory to fight off relegation, but will face a Newcastle team that is on the brink of Champions League qualification.
Eddie Howe’s side need just one more win, and have the perfect chance to get it on Monday. We are at home, underneath the floodlights in our final home game of the season, up against a team in appalling form that has to play for a win.
It could be a recipe for disaster for Leicester, and the makings of a glorious night on Tyneside.
That is what former Arsenal forward Paul Merson is expecting, with the pundit predicting an emphatic victory for Newcastle.

Paul Merson thinks Newcastle will beat Leicester 4-0
As part of his latest column for Sportskeeda, Merson has predicted that Newcastle will beat Leicester 4-0 on Monday, and explained why.
“Leicester City know what they’ve got to do,” he wrote.
“Leeds could win their game against West Ham and that will mean that The Foxes have to get positive results in both their remaining football matches. However, I think Leicester are going to get relegated this weekend.
“I don’t see how Leicester can beat Newcastle United. After the first 10 minutes against Liverpool where they were decent, they got destroyed. If the Magpies win, there’ll be huge celebrations at St. James’ Park.
“Newcastle destroyed Brighton in midweek. They also decimated Tottenham not long ago. I don’t see how Leicester can keep this rampant Newcastle United at bay.
“Leicester concede silly goals and are so poor at times and this could be the game which sees Newcastle secure a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.”

Newcastle have not been shy in front of goal this season
As Merson says, Newcastle have blown away plenty of teams this season. The Magpies have scored four or more goals in eight Premier League games, which is incredible considering it is our defensive ability that has been lauded for the entire campaign.
Howe’s side can do it all, and are more than capable of putting teams to the sword. We saw it against Fulham, Brentford, Southampton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Tottenham and Everton, and we saw it on Thursday night against Brighton. One moment we were clinging on to a one-goal lead, the next we were toasting an emphatic 4-1 win.
Merson believes Leicester could suffer a familiar fate, and that would be a glorious way to guarantee Champions League football.
