Pundit Paul Merson has predicted the result of Newcastle’s trip to Leicester for Sportskeeda.
Eddie Howe will be looking to build on the Magpies’ first win of the season over Burnley last weekend.
Newcastle won this fixture last season but Merson thinks they will leave the King Power Stadium empty-handed on Sunday.

Merson’s prediction
“Newcastle have got to realize the importance of this game. At the start of the season, you’d think this would be a tough game for them.
“Now, you’re going to Leicester expecting to score at least one goal. There’s no point playing for a draw – Newcastle need to have a go, score goals, and hope their defenders keep it tight.
“They’re in trouble at the moment and they need to make this game count. Leicester are all over the place at the moment but with Newcastle’s problems this season, Brendan Rodgers should be able to lead his team to a victory.
“Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Newcastle.”

Merson has mentioned Leicester’s defensive issues and they are not looking as good this season as they have in previous years.
If Newcastle can keep a clean sheet, there should be chances in this game for them to win it.
Leicester have also had a Europa League trip to Napoli to contend with this week while Newcastle have been working on their gameplan.
This is a real opportunity for Newcastle to build on that result last week and the confidence and momentum it has generated.
