Newcastle United meet Liverpool in what is being described as a “wild” and “spicy” edition of one of the Premier League’s most iconic games.
The two teams played out a hugely entertaining 3-3 Premier League draw at St James’ Park back in December, before Liverpool beat Newcastle at Anfield in February.
Still, Eddie Howe’s side got their revenge in stunning fashion a few weeks later by winning the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
So much has happened since. Liverpool hijacked Newcastle’s move for Hugo Ekitike before embarking on a controversial pursuit of Alexander Isak.
Arne Slot is out for revenge against Newcastle after losing the final and matters off the field will no doubt add an extra layer of intrigue to an already fascinating affair on the pitch.
Here’s everything you need to know.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool team news
Jacob Ramsey could make his Newcastle debut after completing his move from Aston Villa on Sunday.
Joe Willock is Newcastle’s only confirmed injury absence, though Jacob Murphy was nursing an Achilles issue in the build-up to Newcastle’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last time out.
Lewis Hall and Sven Botman were both on the bench against Villa and could feature here. Isak is not expected to play for Newcastle against Liverpool as he continues to try and leave the club.

For Liverpool, Jeremie Frimpong is a slight doubt after coming off with a hamstring complaint in their win over Bournemouth on the opening day of the season.
Conor Bradley has also missed games of late, potentially leaving Liverpool short at right-back. Ryan Gravenberch is available after serving a suspension against Bournemouth, following his red card against Crystal Palace on the final day of last season.
Newcastle United vs Liverpool prediction
There are reasons to be positive for Newcastle. While Liverpool remain a dangerous prospect going forward, they looked somewhat open defensively against Bournemouth.
That could change with Gravenberch back in the team but they do have injury concerns at right-back.
