Newcastle United kick off their pre-season campaign with a trip to Hull City.
Newcastle Unitedβs fitness issues were well documented last season, with the squad being ravaged by an injury crisis.
Injuries to the likes of Sven Botman and Joelinton ultimately derailed the Magpieβs Champions League ambitions, with Newcastleβs seventh-place finish not enough to secure European football thanks to Manchester Unitedβs FA Cup win.
Eddie Howe will undoubtedly be looking to avoid a similar crisis this year and pre-season is the perfect opportunity to get his players in tip-top shape before the Premier League curtain-raiser against Southampton on August 17th.

Team news
Newcastle fans were excited to see Sven Botman back on the grass in mid-week, the Dutchman however is still months away from full fitness and will therefore miss the Magpiesβ pre-season campaign.
Joe Willock and Tino Livramento are doubts heading into the game with the pair both having missed Newcastleβs friendly with SpVgg Unterhaching last week, as they recover from injuries picked up at the end of last season.
New signing Lloyd Kelly may also potentially be a doubt having also missed the game against the German third-tier side.
The game may also see the return of Hull City forward Oscar Estupinan after he was recalled from his loan spell in Brazil.
Tigers fans may also get to see new signing Cody Drameh in action for the first time since his free transfer from Leeds United.
