They are strong favourites for Sunday’s game at St James’ Park but will have to do it with a weakened squad.

Newcastle United confirmed team news vs Nottingham Forest
On Friday, the Newcastle United manager confirmed that Jacob Ramsey could return to action.
The former Aston Villa midfielder hasn’t played since a draw away at Leeds in late August, having suffered an ankle injury at Elland Road.
However, Ramsey has made good progress on his return from injury and will likely be in the squad for Sunday’s match.

Newcastle United injuries vs Nottingham Forest
Tino Livramento has suffered a knee injury for Newcastle, although it isn’t as bad as initially feared.
There is hope that Livramento will return after the November international break, which is a much better outcome than what was initially feared after he was stretchered off against Arsenal.
Yoane Wissa has suffered a fresh setback on his recovery from a knee injury and is now not expected back until November.
