Newcastle United are back in Premier League action on Saturday when Wolverhampton Wanderers come to St James’ Park.
Both teams are looking for their first Premier League win of the season, with Newcastle United looking like the favourites.
While it has been a difficult start to the season for both sides, Eddie Howe’s side will be expected to make relatively light work of a Wolves team who have lost all three of their games thus far.
At St James’ Park, it’s a game Newcastle simply have to win.

There have been mitigating factors for Newcastle’s poor start to the season in terms of points return but those excuses only last so long.
Howe’s side were turgid against Leeds before the break and need to get their campaign up and running on Saturday. Howe has never lost to Wolves as Newcastle manager and Saturday would be a dreadful time to start.
With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know.

Newcastle United vs Wolves prediction
It’d be a major shock to see Newcastle slip up here. They have generally been excellent at home in the Howe era and finally have two strikers to choose from for the first time this season.
Wolves can certainly pose problems but Newcastle have to be winning games like this if they’re to compete towards the top end of the Premier League.
