Newcastle vs Burnley – How to watch, prediction and latest team news

Newcastle United are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they host a struggling Burnley side at St James’ Park.

Such has been the inconsistent nature of their Premier League campaign, Newcastle United head into this one in a relatively low mood.

Indeed, Newcastle United drew 2-2 with Tottenham on Tuesday as they dropped yet more points from a winning position.

Now, Eddie Howe’s side must dust themselves down. They entertain a Burnley side struggling towards the bottom end of the Premier League table and simply must win.

It sees the return of former Newcastle midfielder Scott Parker, now Clarets manager of course, as well as ex-Toon goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

Here’s everything you need to know.

If you bumped into Eddie Howe on the street right now, what changes would you tell him to make vs Burnley?!

I’d be telling him to get Anthony Gordon in the XI after his cameo against Spurs!

Newcastle United vs Burnley prediction

It’s difficult not to see Newcastle claiming three points here. They may not fully convince just yet but the Clarets are in a real relegation fight right now.

They’ve claimed only three points on the road all season and have lost their last two away games.

Parker’s side will likely sit deep and try to frustrate Newcastle but these are the kind of games they will be expected to win.
