Newcastle United have finally picked up their second win of the season, beating Fulham 4-1 at Craven Cottage.
Eddie Howe’s side had an easy afternoon in the capital, with the Cottagers going down to 10 men early with Nathaniel Chalobah seeing red.
From there, Newcastle were dominant. Three goals in the first half and one in the second saw the Magpies cruise to victory by the Thames.
It was a great performance, and these are our Newcastle player ratings vs Fulham
Nick Pope 7/10
A quiet afternoon for Nick Pope, who was denied a clean sheet by Fulham scoring late on.
Kieran Trippier 8/10
A classy performance from the 32-year-old. It was his cross that led to Callum Wilson giving the Magpies the lead.
Fabian Schar 8/10
Untested all afternoon. Used the ball better than he has in recent weeks but barely had to break sweat in truth.
Sven Botman 8/10
A surprise inclusion in the starting XI, Sven Botman was commanding at the back. Did what he had to do well and will be happy with his performance.
Dan Burn 7/10
Moved over to left-back, but it didn’t matter. Burn was his dependable best. However, his afternoon might have been a bit more uncomfortable had Fulham not gone down to 10 men.
Sean Longstaff 8/10
Great performance from the local lad who reacted quickest to score the Magpies’ third goal of the afternoon.
Bruno Guimaraes 8/10
An easy day at the office for Newcastle’s number 39. Eddie Howe’s side were so dominant that they could afford to withdraw Bruno early. But he was excellent during the hour he played.
Joe Willock 9/10

His best performance in a few games. The midfielder used the ball much better, and will be disappointed to to get on the scoresheet.
Miguel Almiron 9/10
The standout performer for Newcastle. Scored a stunning volley then got a tap in. But the offside flag denied him a hat-trick.
Jacob Murphy 7/10
It was a shock to see Jacob Murphy named in the starting XI at 2pm, but he justified his selection with a strong outing. He was incredibly lively and got in some great positions, but could have done more with the openings he had.
Callum Wilson 7/10
The number nine is back. His third goal of the season will be the easiest he ever scores in a Newcastle shirt.
