Newcastle fans react as Almiron is set to miss Man United game

Newcastle midfielder Miguel Almiron is facing the prospect of missing Saturday’s clash with Manchester United.

Many of the Premier League’s South American players were not permitted to link up with their countries during the international break.

Paraguay international Almiron is one of them, and as per the Northern Echo, he is out of the trip to Old Trafford as it stands.

Newcastle are apparently appealing the FIFA ruling which bans the relevant players from appearing for their club for five days after the end of the international window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be without Fred on Saturday afternoon, for a game where Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to make his second Red Devils debut.
