Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi sent a four word message to Bruno Guimaraes after their win against Aston Villa last night.

Newcastle pulled off an unbelievable result by beating the best home team in the Premier League and giving themselves hope of still achieving their Champions League dream this season.

After the game, Bruno took to Instagram where he posted his celebration to which Ghodoussi responded with a message reminding him of when he first arrived at Newcastle.

Bruno says he’s very happy at Newcastle after big win

There’s been a lot of speculation about the future of a lot of Newcastle players this month and Bruno is certainly not excluded from that list after PSG emerged as a potential destination for the midfielder.

There were rumours that Newcastle were going to have to sell one of their star players if they wanted to sign anyone and that could still very well be the case, but it’s not going to happen this month.

Looking ahead to the summer this issue may again become prevalent, but Eddie Howe has made it clear that he wants to do everything he can to keep Bruno at Newcastle as he’s so important to the way the team play.

The Brazilian himself has already committed himself to the club and his post after the win last night just shoed how ‘happy’ he is with the Magpies at the minute.

On Instagram, Bruno said: “Two happy years in this team, with a very important win! Thank you for everything, @nufc fans. I’m happy here.”

Ghodoussi then responded: “Remember that first zoom?”

Newcastle were at their best against Villa

It feels like everyone’s been saying the same thing about Newcastle this season in that they are yet to find that form that helped them to get into the top four last season.

Time and time again Newcastle have looked out of sorts and fatigued from playing so many added European and cup fixtures earlier in the season with the team having played 10 games in 30 days in December.

Now after a two week break prior to their FA Cup tie against Fulham, they finally have some fresh legs in teh team and it’s working wonders for their performances so far.

Newcastle’s high press was so effective at Villa Park after struggling all season to make it work and Howe will be overjoyed to see his players back to their best.

One worry will be the injury to Alexander Isak who was forced off in the first half leaving Newcastle without a recognised striker available.
