Newcastle United’s co-owners have praised the special atmosphere inside St James’ Park following the Magpies’ 1-0 win over Wolves.
Before last night, Eddie Howe’s side had lost their lost three games. And with Burnley winning midweek, it was vital Newcastle got something against Bruno Lage’s team.
They did just that, thanks to Chris Wood’s 72nd minute penalty. It wasn’t a vintage performance from Newcastle, but they did enough to pick up an important three points.

The result puts them 10 points clear of the relegation zone with seven games to go. Newcastle are edging closer and closer to Premier League survival.

The atmosphere inside St James’ Park has been fantastic ever since the takeover. The mood around the club has completely changed, with everyone suddenly pulling in the same direction.
