Another weekend of Premier League action means yet another weekend of Mark Lawrenson’s BBC Sport predictions column.
The former Liverpool defender has offered his verdict on how he thinks Newcastle’s game at home to Brighton will go.
Newcastle go into the game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League having beaten Brentford 2-0 last time out.

Lawrenson’s prediction
“Newcastle’s run just keeps on going – they are seven unbeaten now in the league, and have won four of their past five games – and they keep climbing away from the relegation zone.
“Brighton are at the other end of the form table, and have now lost three in a row which is their worst run of the season. They’ve not scored in any of those defeats either, but it’s nothing new for them to be short of goals.
“All things considered, it has to be another Newcastle win here – their improvement shows what a difference a bit of momentum and confidence can make, and a big home crowd will help them on Saturday too. Newcastle 2-0 Brighton.”

The form is with Newcastle and they have shown themselves to be resilient with injuries coming their way as well.
Bruno Guimaraes is still to come into the starting XI as well, which is exciting because he can really improve the team in midfield.
A win here would take Newcastle within five points of their weekend visitors, with a game in hand, which is some feat given the campaigns the two sides had before Eddie Howe took over.
