Newcastle United meet Barcelona in a heavyweight Champions League clash at St James’ Park.

Indeed, Newcastle United vs Barcelona is quite the way for Eddie Howe’s side to start their second Champions League campaign under his watch.

It’s a game that evokes memories of Tino Asprilla’s famous hat-trick for Newcastle against Barcelona in 1997, although the Catalan giants have since won all three of their subsequent meetings with the Magpies.

Hopefully, Newcastle United can repeat what they did to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023. They smashed the French giants at St James’ Park, matching the level of intensity from the supporters inside the stadium.

There’s little doubt it’ll be a cauldron of noise but, such is the size of the game, football fans around the world will be eager to watch it all unfold.

With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about where to watch the game.

Newcastle United’s Champions League fixtures in full

The Barcelona game is undoubtedly the biggest clash of Newcastle’s Champions League fixture schedule.

However, as enormous an occasion as it is, it’s not the only game on which to focus.

Newcastle must travel to Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise before next month’s international break before hosting Benfica later that month.

In November, they welcome Athletic Bilbao to St James’ and then face trips to Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen.

In January, they entertain PSV Eindhoven before making a return to PSG later that month.
