The Newcastle United squad then return to England for a double-header in the Sela Cup.
Newcastle host Espanyol at St James’ Park on Friday 8 August before playing Atletico Madrid on Saturday 9 August.
Then, the Premier League campaign starts when Howe takes his side to Aston Villa on Saturday 16 August at 12.30pm BST.
