Newcastle United will be in the draw for the Carabao Cup semi-finals. 

Lewis Miley scored a late winner as Newcastle United beat Fulham 2-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals at St James’ Park.  

Eddie Howe’s side, of course, are defending Carabao Cup champions and now a return to Wembley is in sight. 

The Magpies were not totally convincing against the Cottagers but did enough to reach a third semi-final in four years in this competition.

A return to Wembley is now in sight. As frustrating as this season has been thus far, there’s a very real chance to claim another trophy now.

When is the Carabao Cup semi-final draw?

The draw for the Carabao Cup semi-finals takes place after the Newcastle United vs Fulham match at 8.15pm GMT on Wednesday, 17 December, 2025.

There is no extra time, with the tie going straight to a penalty shootout should the two sides remain level after 90 minutes.

That means the draw will likely start at around 10.15pm GMT.

The Carabao Cup semi-finals will take place on the week commencing Monday, 12 January, 2026.

The return legs will be played on the week commencing Monday, 2 February, 2026.

When is the 2025-26 Carabao Cup final?

Newcastle have reached two of the last three Carabao Cup finals, so supporters would hardly be jumping the gun if they were dreaming about a return to Wembley.

The 2025-26 Carabao Cup final will take place on Sunday, 22 March, 2026.
